melbcruise Posted October 25, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2004 Are cocktails complimentary in the casino?? And how often do they have cocktail parties where drinks are included??
Pam Posted October 25, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2004 I have never seen a cocktail server in a Radisson casino (they are rather small, btw) but they wouldn't be complimentary. Cocktail parties would depend on the length of your cruise, and whether or not you had sailed with them before.
2417rocky Posted October 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2004 Hi Melbcruise, We recently came back from cruising on Paul Gauguin. :D RSSC has more comp cocktail parties than any other cruise lines we have been on. They did have a special night in the casino w/comp cocktails. We do not gamble, so I only can tell you that I read about it. All of the other cocktail parties were very nice. They did not serve just rum punch, whatever you wanted!! I hope this info helps you out a bit. You can't go wrong with RSSC!! Happy Sailing, Rlf:)
KatWag Posted October 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2004 We also haven't seen any cocktails served in the Casino area. Like Pam said, the casinos are on the small side. You will probably get at least a sailaway, a welcome aboard cocktail party and a farewell cocktail party. Others, depending upon eligibility, could include Amex Platinum, Virtuoso, special group parties if you've booked a group cruise, and the repeat passengers party. We ended up with a cocktail party nearly every night on this past cruise and actually got kind of sick of them, believe it or not. :)
jhp Posted October 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2004 Cocktails are not complimentary in any area of the ship other than the dining room, and when there are parties.
JoAnne B Posted November 20, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Never seen cocktail waitresses in the casino, but then there may not be many cruisers there either, depending on the itinerary. But on the Diamond crossing plus 4-nt caribbean I achieved an unbeliveable....bar bill of $0. So many cocktail parties plus special events, then wine and after dinner drinks with dinner. Carried on my own white port for before dinner drinks, and then there were the two in-cabin set-ups. Brought the summary of charges to show hubby....he never would have believed it otherwise! Pam Posted November 20, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I just got off Mariner, and had forgotten that there is a full bar in the casino on that ship. The bartender will bring you drinks to the table, but there is a charge for anything alcoholic.
