bxny Posted September 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2008 We arrive in Venice on Sept. 22 at 10 pm and disembark the next day starting at 5am. Does anyone know the the latest time Princess will allow you to get off the ship. We will be on the Grand and want to reserve a water taxi to take us to our hotel but am not sure of the time to request.
GoinToTheWell Posted September 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2008 We just got off the Emerald a couple of weeks ago in Venice. We had to be out of our cabin by 8am and I believe the last disembarkation time was around 10:15am. We were close to the end at 9:15am. We all had to take a shuttle bus to the luggage terminal (3 minutes away), collected our luggage (very quick process) and then you would have to walk back to the water taxi location...about a 3-5 minute walk from where we collected our luggage. The requested last time out of cabin was a little after 8 and off the ship by 10:00. The ship was scheduled for 12:00 embarkation with a 5pm departure. Your schedule might shift slightly dependent on next cruise schedule. In Barcelona the process started as early as 3:45 am for those with early departures  Some in our party asked the Steward to leave there stuff in till 9:30 or so and that wasn't a problem. Princess seems to have a good system for disembarkation scheduling people based on airline needs from early in the morning. In our case we had no connection to catch and enjoyed one last leisure breakfast, but in the end still spent more then 30' sitting in the Theater watching a whale movie as they ran about 20' late. They said they checked your checkout stub, but in reality no one was checking and you could have left earlier then your indicated time. The only obvious thing would be collecting luggage as you'd be going to a different section. THis is a great tour on a great ship, have a great trip!!!
