anyone cruised alaska end of august with kids

we are doing alaska - ncl pearl aug. 23, 09 - 2 boys will be 11 & 16 when we go... anyone have experience this time of year - want to make sure there will be other children and teens on board, don't need 900 like we had on caribbean this summer,:rolleyes: just want to see from someone with experience that their are children on board that time of year...

We just did the Pearl to Alaska 8/24 to 8/31 with 6 kids in our group (age 1 to age 8). Supposedly there were 500 kids on board but it didn't seem it at all. THe older kids begged to go to kids club. They used the pool every day and sometimes 2 x per day. Let me know if you have any other questions.

You will have some, but not that many---that's about the time when schools start back for the year!

We were on Celebrity's Infinity the week of 8/15-8/22. Our DDs were 13 and 11. Plenty of kids in both age groups. My older one hung out with a group of about 5 other girls and my younger one clicked with another girl her age and they spent all their kid club time together.

We were on the Pearl this Aug 24th - 31st, and we saw kids of all ages, but not a ton of them. We mostly saw them using the pool area and they seemed to be having a good time.
