French side of St. Maartens

Years ago we went their & there was a farmers market type thing, or flea market or whatever you want to call it. We would like to go there again this time, but do not want to go by way of an official tour. Just take a taxi there & back to the ship. But the problem is, I don't remember exactly where it is, or what exactly it was called. Does anyone in here know?

The fish market was the happening place when we were there one morning at 6:30. There were plenty of spices and fresh produce as well. We left by 7 so the only vendors who were there were the ones selling parishables pretty much.
