Luggage Restrictions

We are on the Galaxy in two weeks. Since we will not be flying to Baltimore, are there any restrictions as to how many suitcases or carry-ons you are allowed. This is a very important question because it appears that my wife is taking every article of clothing and shoes that she owns. We might as well pack the kitchen sink while we are at it.

There is no restrictions on how much luggage you can take if you're not flying. However, you might want to limit what you take to how much you can lift! icon_smile.gif

You will have to store your luggage under the bed. More than 4 pieces becomes difficult. Of course, you can nest some of the smaller pieces in the larger ones, but the height of the luggage still must clear the space between the bed and the floor.

Thanks for all of your replys. If in fact there is no piece restriction, what we will probably do is, bring 2 of those folding dresser bags. Once emptied they can fold up and be put in one of the suitcases. We were only given 4 luggage tags, but perhaps they will allow us to carry the dresser bags on as a carry on. We will find out in 12 days. Can't wait. Thanks again

If you get lucky indeed your cabin attendent will offer to store oversized luggage (those that won't slip under the bed) if he has room. However, don't count on it.

He might take you up on the kitchen sink if you really don't need it back icon_wink.gif.

Or if you have a balcony suite you can hang your extra bags off the balcony.... icon_smile.gif

MidnightBlue:

If you need more luggage tags, they will be available right as you unload your luggage at the pier. Someone is generally there to ask if you need additional tags. Don't carry more than your one carry-on. You may be walking several yards or climbing ramps as you are boarding the ship. They will be taking your picture and you will be turning in forms, etc. Make it easy on yourself---lighten the load!! icon_biggrin.gif

Have a great cruise! icon_cool.gif
