SnorkelLady Posted September 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2008 Has anyone taken the rainforest aerial tram and zip-line tour at the Rain Forest Sky Rides Eco Park? What was it like? Did you book a ship shore excursion or on your own? Who did you use? Any information and advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
Huge45 Posted September 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2008 I was thinking about doing this same excursion and saw that it is almost $35 cheaper if you book it on the internet instead of through the cruise line.
MrsBBuffalo Posted January 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2010 Has anyone taken this tour? It looks fabulous but would love to hear from someone who has been on it. We would book thru the ship to save the hastle of self-transport. Thanks!
Billy101 Posted January 4, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2010 We did it last week and it was amazing! We booked through the ship (which we very rarely do), since it seemed like transportation to the site would probably bump up the price quite a bit - it was about a 30 minute drive. I highly recommend this tour...I think it's well worth the extra money to do the aerial tram along with the zip-lines, as we learned a lot while on the tram and both experiences are entirely different, even though they fit together since they are both in the rain forest. scejas Posted January 4, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2010 Billy101, Which ship did you do it through...
Billy101 Posted January 5, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2010 Royal Caribbean. Although, I think that only affects the transportation. The Sky Rides guides take over once you arrive.
naysmitj Posted January 10, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2010 We join the Carnival Victory from Barbados on Feb 10th and are in St Lucia on February 11th. Looking at the following canapy tour. Likely just grab a taxi from the ship. Anyone familiar with this tour? Scroll down to the "Tranopy - St. Lucia" tour description at $85.00 / adult price. https://www.rainforestrams.com/shop/ticket2.php Thanks Pat and Jim
SmogMonster Posted January 15, 2010 #9 Share Posted January 15, 2010 We did this tour while we were on the Victory back in September. It was one of the highlites of the trip. The guides that take you through the course were hilarious and really had a good time, THe ride to the top in the Gondola was great but the ride coming back down was even better. On the way down you can see all the way down the mountain to the sea. The guides also did a great job pointing out all the unique plants and trees and told many stories on how they each got their name etc. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Fragile-Beauty Posted January 15, 2010 #10 Share Posted January 15, 2010 If I take a taxi to the aerial tram and prebook my reservation, do you know if the tram runs constantly or is there a certain time it runs. Thanks, Also, what do you think a taxi to the tram would run us?
