Towels on Lido deck

1st time Carnival cruiser, so please forgive me if this is common knowledge.

Am I understanding this correctly?

There are towels available at the pools on deck that are for use on deck only, and seperate (blue) towels that are left in your stateroom to take off the ship if you are going to the beach.

If you do not return the blue towel to your cabin, you get charged for it.

I asked this question to my T.A. and to Carnival, and got the same kind of vague answer from both. (Sometimes towels are available on deck)

We are sailing on the Valor, If anyone can give me their 1st hand experience, I would appreciate it!

Looking forward to the Funship atmosphere!

You are left one towel per person in your room to use, if you need a clean one throughout the day you can exchange it on the Lido deck. Yes you can take these towes ashore and yes if one goes missing you are responsible for it. That being said I have read on other posts that the room steward doesn't always necessarily keep count - personally I wouldn't risk it, it would just be my luck to get charged!! :)

Wow! and the chair hogs still risk leaving them on the deck chairs while they eat breakfast, lunch, go to the casino, and have a nap in their cabin before coming out to actually use the chair in the afternoon?

Thanks for explaining it to me! :D

If you do not want to carry your towel to the pool with you you can also show your S&S card to the crew member tending the towel and sports area on the Lido deck and they will provide you with a towel and fill out a paper that describes what you borrowed. When you return it they mark the form returned. I personally do not like this system and wish that they would have plain pool towels that were available at the pool.
