Extra's with Mini Suite

Do you get to eat in Cagnany's if you book the mini-suite. What are the perks?

You can eat at Cagney's for dinner (for a fee) as can anyone, but not lunch or breakfast.

Mini-suites should be regarded as Deluxe Balcony cabins not true suites. Only full suites and higher have access to Cagney's for breakast & lunch.

 

So, sorry, the answer is no.

Bella - you get a tub/shower combo vs shower only. Cagney's (for breakfast and lunch free of charge) and other suite-level perks do not come into play unless you're booked (on most ships) AE and above.

 

You'll have a great cruise regardless........:)

I agree with 2inTul, NCL needs to change the name of the Mini Suites to Deluxe Balcony Cabins. If you read previous threads, there is much confusion regarding the Suite Perks for mini suites.

 

I had first booked a Mini Suite and asked a NCL Rep if I received the suites perks, she told me yes. Of course, later on, I found out that the NCL Rep was as confused about this situation as we are.

As previously posted, the Mini-Suites are not full suites. You get about 40% more space overall. More living space, bigger bathroom with a tub/shower combo, bigger balcony and more storage space.

 

Supposedly NCL will be re-naming the Minis "Superior" or "Deluxe" Balcony Cabin which is more appropriate.

I wouldn't be surprised to see NCL (like some other lines) revamp their cabin descriptions. PP's are correct - consider your mini-suite to be a deluxe balcony cabin and not just a smaller version of a full suite with accompanying perks. Their naming convention is confusing (to say the least) and hopefully we'll see some changes over the coming months.

I agree with all of the above.

Our first (well, mine) we booked a mini suite, I was THRILLED by the thought of a suite!! (my first cruise) then we were upgraded to an AE....let me say, I will never settle for less! THIS year we booked an AC, for our Honeymoon, and were upgraded to an AB(from what we hear is the best) and I am soooo excited.

All i know is the perks of a "Penthouse" vs the Mini Suite are amazing! When i come back to my room from the casino or club at 2 am and want a pizza, and all I have to do is make a phone call for room service???? WOW!!! I know i say "pizza", but, hey, it's 2am;)

Dont get me wrong, there are sooooo many more perks, and I think the "Mini" is approx the same size as the AE, but without the perks....and those in general, are well worth the money!!! I'd call for an upgrade, if they havent called you yet.

Just to clarify for new posters...were you "upgraded" or was it an ""upsell"?

Upgrades are free...upsells you pay a difference in price. If it was an upgrade, congratulations to you :-)

If it was an upsell, just want new posters to know that you paid an additional (discount) price. :-)

Actually, with the new room service menu on NCL, everyone can order a Pizza from room service any time of day or night.

 

And, if you are in a suite, you are supposed to dial your butler first..if he/she is "off-duty" you will be re-directed to room service.

 

Personally, I'll take any pizza, snack, hors d'ouevers from anyone I can get them from at 2 AM ;)

My last cruise was in a mini suite. It reallky didn't feel much different than the balcony cabin. But my next one is an AC Penthouse. Let the fun begin!

 

I would have never made the jump to a suite had it not been for all of the wonderful information on CC. Thanks so much guys!
