devonbNJ Posted September 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2008 i was wondering if it was possible to hit both Fins and Flippers and Fosters in one day, the ship doesn't get in till 11am and pulls out at 7pm. If not, can anyone recommend one over the other? thanks
Cigar Dude Posted September 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2008 We just got back from Roatan and we went to Fins and Flippers. I highly recommend it. Great place. Beautiful. Easy to get to. Close to the ship, so just take the short walk from pier to downtown, take a right, and it's about 100 yards down on the right. Just ask any of the local kids who will meet you when you get downtown. They'll take you there. You can tip them if you want to, but they're after the F&F staff to tip them for bringing you to them! ;) The ship that takes you to F&F runs back and forth all day, so you can come back when you're ready. You'll probably stay there until late in the day, as we did. It's a very nice place. You won't be sorry if you go to Fins and Flippers. :)
loveJake Posted September 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2008 We were also on the same cruise as Cigar Dude and we did Fosters along with a tour of the Island first. It is a beautiful beach with really soft white sand. No rocks, shells or seaweed $5 entrance fee, given a coupon to redeem for a free drink. Very empty, only about 8 other people on the entire beach. We paid $25 per person for the taxi driver (arranged before cruise) and he took us shopping, to a Igauna farm, picture taking sites, a beautiful resort with a museum, we went from the East side of the Island to the West. Fosters is at the tip of the Island, only took us about 10 minutes to return to the ship. I chose this because we wanted to see more of the Island and also because I had heard that the only entrance to the water at F and F is off a pier. weekendcruiser Posted September 16, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2008 Are you on the Pearl October 19th? We received a letter that Roatan would be cut short due to azipod issue. Did you? Have you asked for any special benefits? We are now confused as to what to do in Roatan. Hope for a cruise critic meet and greet!
