kd901 Posted September 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2008 I'll be in Nachi next week. I wanted to know if the frozen drinks and cocktails were ok to drink. I don't want to ruin my vacation by the dreadful traveler's diarrhea. Has anyone ever gotten sick from their food or drinks???????????
snorkelman Posted September 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2008 I have never been there, but I will be there in 3 weeks. I suggest that you read some of the comments because the answer to your question will become very clear very quickly. One guy even posted about how proud they were to show him the water purification unit for ice. I just re-read my post and it seems like I could come off like a jerk - that isn't my intention. really go ahead and read the other postings - you will find them very helpful - I know that I did. GrammyJill Posted September 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2008 We had the greatest time. The pool & beach are beautiful. We had plenty of food & drink with no ill effects. Except today when I am going through major Nachi withdrawal :(:( We had a wonderful time & make sure you tell Mario hello for us. The margarita's are so good & the buckets of Dos XX are almost unending. We had chips & salsa guacamole fried cheese ceviche (OMGOSH!!!) fajitas fish tacos and never had room for desert but we heard the coconut ice cream is a must have. Have a wonderful time (I'm so jealous)!

Toyz711 Posted September 17, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2008 usually i don't eat any "raw" food...like lettuce, tomatos and such. since some countrys either don't wash this items or don't have a good water supply. after reading reports (on this forum) about how good the water system is in cozumel, i didn't worry about it. i even ate the lettuce and tomato on the fried chicken taco (yummy). i don't recommend doing this on mainland mexico, but in cozumel it's fine. JoeSmooga Posted September 18, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Nachi food/water - completely safe. I had issues with "safe" foods at a resort in Acapulco, but freely ate (and drank... A LOT) at Nachi. Cheers! Joe
