ClaudiaF Posted October 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2004 What is there to see in Malaga, will be there from 9-5, and not sure what to do? Malaga is wonderful..lots to do there. Here is a website that may help you with ideas. http://www.malaga.us/ at the bottom of their home page click on tourist attractions. ;-) Definetly see the La Alcazaba and if you like museums there is a new Picasso museum. keltic Posted October 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2004 OK, appart from the white houses of the old town, the bustling streets and squares, with the tapas bar....you shouldn´t miss -cathedral -Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle -Fundación Picasso. csk Posted October 28, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted October 28, 2004 looks like the only way to get to La Alcazaba is a 9 hour Tour RCI is offering, any other suggestions, would love to see but not sure my husband is up to that long a trip
sandydownunder Posted October 28, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2004 I think you mean the Alhambra which is in Grenada. That would be a nine hour shorex. Wonderful place. The La Alcazaba is in Malaga.
csk Posted October 28, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted October 28, 2004 thanks for setting me straight, I did have them confused, RCI has a shore tour where we can see LaAlcazaba and Gibralfaro castles, the catherdal and the home of Picasso, that is what we will do, thanks for your information. JBrid23456 Posted May 23, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 23, 2005 Malaga is on the Costa del Sol and has some nice beaches. It is a good place to just relax and swim in the Mediterranean.
DEL67 Posted May 23, 2005 #9 Share Posted May 23, 2005 There is also a little town named Mijas up in the hills above the Costs Del Sol that you could combine with some of the Malaga places of interest. Perhaps it has changed since I have been there (10+) years, but I remember it as a quaint little village with a great view and a variety of shops, some of which were very different. Of course its filled with tourists, but I liked it.
