Puffinater Posted September 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2008 All Royal Caribbean ships have sliding glass doors to the balconies. Not true some have a standard door. Voyager class corner aft deck 9 are an example. Cabin 9690 has a regular door and a big round window.

The majority of the cabins have sliding doors to the balconies. ;)

Is there a way to prop open the door and keep the A/C on?
Puffinater Posted September 18, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 18, 2008 I will be in this cabin in a few months. Is it possible to prop open the balcony door? I am sure you could do that. And if you do, does the A/C shut off? Never felt the need to prop it open, so I don't know.Is there a way to prop open the door and keep the A/C on? Don't know We never tried what you are asking so I am not able to provide info. We like the cabin and the uniqeness of the door and window. The window works great as a seat or for storage. Enjoy. mgmigs Posted September 19, 2008 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Would I need a bungie cord then to keep sliding door from sliding shut?? no, the door is heavy enough to stay where you put it!
GrammyJill Posted September 19, 2008 #11 Share Posted September 19, 2008 has sliding glass doors & they are plenty heavy enough to stay open with out any help. Why do you want to keep the door open? We went out & shut the door & came in & shut the door, there is no fear of getting locked out there or anything.
wrp96 Posted September 20, 2008 #12 Share Posted September 20, 2008 If you insist on keeping the balcony door open, remember to close it before attempting to open the door to the hallway. If you don't, you will create a wind tunnel effect in your room and someone could get hurt when the door to the hallway slams shut.
