loveJake Posted September 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2008 We just got back last week and went cave tubing. I liked it, but didn't love it. Too much being pulled thru rather then floating. We are going back in 12/09 with our children and grandkids. I really think they would enjoy it. I would too if the water level was higher. When is the rainy season? Does anyone know if usually the water level is higher in December. Not woried about colder, didn't thing the water last week was cold at all, swam in under ground rivers at 58 degrees a few days before the tubing and was ok. vmom Posted September 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2008 When we went in December 2006, we had scheduled to go on the cave tubing excursion, but it was cancelled due to heavy rains and dangerous conditions. I think this time of year is rainy season. Frankly, I would make a different choice for a December excursion, expecially after hearing of the dangerous conditions that one recent poster posted about. codyody Posted September 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2008 No cancelling here; I agree higher water sounds better. If the excursion is cancelled because of dangerous conditions, I will happily choose one of the other available options.
