Third World Country??

According to an article in today's Toronto "Globe and Mail", the city of Saint John, New Brunswick, and its merchants in particular, are upset because Princess warned the passengers on one of its ships to avoid the food and water in that city's restaurants.

While Saint John may not be the centre of the universe, it is certainly not some primitive backwater where the food and water should be considered unsafe.

According to another thread on this forum, same subject, Princess has issued an "official apology".

Basically, according to Princess, it was a cut and paste error when putting together the Princess Patter.

OOPS, mixed up the initials in the title, meant TJM!

Don't worry, in a few days the US government may be requesting a loan from the city of Saint John and all will be foregiven! :D (But if I were St. John I'd think twice about giving it!)

This was an error on the part of whoever made up the Patter for the day. They used the template from another port and didn't update that section. :( It was an error and Princess has apologized. There isn't a newspaper around, including the Globe and Mail, that hasn't accidentally printed the wrong thing on the wrong day, mis-identified someone in a photo, etc..

Saint Johns has running water now? :D

Next thing you know they'll have electricity and horseless carriages!
