Cancelled April Cruises

:eek: Anyone know why Princess is cancelling some April cruises aboard the Caribbean Princess? I've seen everything from drydock to an important government summit as an explanation. Just wondering, "What's the scoop?"

This was also mentioned on Cruise News daily - I'm not a subscriber, so I don't know the real scoop however the publisher indicated that there were lots of rumors on the web about this and that the speculators don't have the whole story.

It seems to be a long time for a 'government conference', unless it's a UN thing. Several weeks is still excessive even for that organization. Given that any time a high-profile meeting is held in some major city, protesters show up who generally disrupt things and even worse, a ship at sea might be a clever solution to security concerns.

 

Something tells me, we won't ever know the full story.
