Airport to ship (w/ a stop): taxi or pre-set private driver/outfit?

Have 10 people going from the airport to the ship. Would love to have all 10 in one van, so would a pre-set-up private limo-type van be better than a taxi?

Also would love to stop off at a water/soda/liquor store so we can "stock up".

 

I've searched for private guides, and have some names. Just wondering if I needed to go through the hassle just for the airport-to-ship trip.
