MrsFixitCT Posted October 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2008 It looks like the search is down again...is it still the case that a hole punched in the seapass still indicates underage for alcohol? Or can I get a hole punched in it so I can hang it on a lanyard?

Or can I get a hole punched in it so I can hang it on a lanyard?I'm GUESSING that it may make a difference where the hole is punched. I got the Reception Desk to punch a lanyard hole at the end of my Mariner otSeas card - seems they would have mentioned if that made me "under age" [not likely that anyone would have mistaken me for under 21:D]. Tropixx Posted October 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2008 DH and I did it also... just make sure the punch is not thru the magnetic strip or the barcode and you'll be fine. :)
Rancher Dave Posted October 4, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2008 Punch all the holes you want...as said above, not in the mag-strip. If you are under age you have a nice picture on the front of the ID that signifies to the bar serves you aren't old enough to consumer. Easiest way to tell DD's card from DW's or my card is look for that background picture. Enjoy the cruise!!!

There are noramlly 2 holes for under 21s, however, just recently I have noticed that minors get a different sea pass card, it has a shadow type crowd scene on it
MM27 Posted October 4, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 4, 2008 I punched my own hole in my seapass card on my last cruise to hang from a lanyard. Last time I'll do that. I was questioned every time I wanted a drink.

DS got one hole, DD, 3 years younger got 2 on a past cruise and that's the explanation we got.

I was questioned every time I wanted a drink. At my age, I don't think I would have this problem. But on our last HAL cruise my card had a M for male instead of a female. I got quite a few seconded glances.:D
