Has anyone done the brewery tour? Can you just take a cab to the brewery and tour it on your own?

Wondering same thing. Although I will have a minor (just under 18) and wondering if can do tour if not booked thru ship.

I don't know if you can just show up or not, but they do tours at the brewery.

I have done some checking on the Beliezian beers, finding out that for several years now, there is only one Brewery in the country and that they have a very high tarrif on imported beer. Also, there is a large fine for locals posessing Mexican beer. There is a short story about the Beliezian Beer War between the two brewing companies which ended by the current one causing the other one to go broke by buying up all the used bottles and storing them so the losing brewery had to keep importing new, expensive bottles. By the way, I learned that the Belikin beer that the locals drink (Lager) is cheaper and better than what is served in the resorts (Premium Lager).

We are considering doing this while in Belize but I don't really want to do the City Tour also so the one that is done with Coral Breeze really doesn't interest us.

 

Is this something that is safe to do on our own?
