Celebrity comes to Charleston, SC

I just read in my local paper the Celebrity Mercury will now sail in Charleston, SC starting in Feb. 2009 offering 10 and 11 day cruises. Perhaps Carnival will increase their exposure to this untapped market in the future as well. Some folks say the port in not equipped for cruise ships but I have to say I had no problem with anything when I sailed there on the Victory a few years back. They even offer FREE parking for anyone with a car window handicapped placard.

You got me excited about a possible cruise on a ship other than the NCL Majesty. However, I think you have your dates wrong. I took a look and the soonest sailing shown out of C-town is Feb. 2010. :(

This is true. If you search on a certain website you will see the Celebrity Mercury will start sailing from Charleston in Feb. 2010 on 11 and 10 day cruises, which are a bit too long for me, but enjoy.:)
