Lisa S. Posted October 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2008 My BF and I are thinking about doing the Deep Sea Fishing that Carnival offers. Has anyone ever done this In Coz and if so how did you like it? Thanks Lisa and Zoomer
FishermanJim Posted October 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2008 I have not done this, but I live in Cozumel and know the service as well as most of the captains. The charters are generally provided by Angler's Fleet operated by Sand Dollar Sports. They allow up to six fishermen per boat. They use a rotation system for who handles the next strike (fish). The charters are all four hours; the mininum effort you would want to give in deep sea fishing. They typically have as much success catching fish as any other charter service and are good working with the cruise lines; the source of nearly all their individual passenger spaces. If there are fewer than three in your party, it's a good deal typically. If there are more than three, you can probably afford your own private charter.
