Hi Bruce.:) Welcome to the boards. Since you'll be on a Carnival cruise, come on over to the Carnival board, and you'll get lots of ideas for specific Carnival cruises!

To answer your question, Carnival allows a couple of bottles of wine to be brought on board. I've never been charged corkage fee of $10, but others have...seems to be up to your waiter.

Bruceaiken, I have brought wine on board many times without a problem. We drink it in the dining room and pay the corkage fee. We usually pack it in the carry on and our checked bags. We used seal a meal bags on our last cruise for the red wines incase of a breakage. It worked well. We have never been charged for every bottle of wine we brought. Some have slipped thru without a charge. Carla
