corkage

You don't indicate which cruise line, but to the best of my knowledge, don't recall any of the mainstream lines having a specific limitation on wines brought on board. No need to smuggle. The corkage fee applies only if the wine is consumed in the dinning room. None, if consumed in your cabin, and you can have your cabin attendant provide you with the ice, bucket, glasses, etc.

Many lines do prohibit bringing beer and the hard stuff.

Happy sailing....
