Driving to Red Hook Brooklyn Terminal from Connecticut

These are the directions I get from mapquest (after driving on 95 South)

 

Merge onto I-678 S toward WHITESTONE BR

Merge onto I-495 W/ LONG ISLAND EXPY via EXIT 12B toward MIDTOWN TUN.

Merge onto I-278 W/ BROOKLYN QUEENS EXPY via EXIT 17W toward BROOKLYN.

Take EXIT 27 toward ATLANTIC AVE.

Keep LEFT at the fork to go on COLUMBIA ST.

Turn RIGHT onto DEGRAW ST.

DEGRAW ST becomes VAN BRUNT ST.

Turn LEFT onto BOWNE ST.

Do they look OK? Are any of the roads being worked on?

I generally agree with these directions...I live in Brooklyn and go to CT almost every weekend in the summer.
