ambiz Posted November 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2004 There are a number of choices including: - a catamaran and snorkeling cruise on the Spirit of St Kitts - rain forest hike with Greg Safaris - kayaking and snorkeling tour with Turtle Tours - sugar train ride - fun bike tour on quad bikes - half day plantation tour with Greg Safaris - Island tour with stops at tourist attractions such as Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, Caribelle Batik and Romney Manor, Sir Thomas Warner's tomb - relax on one of the beaches and sip drinks at a beach bar - take a drive along the scenic Southeast Peninsula, then stop for lunch at Turtle Beach Bar and Restaurant. You can see and photograph monkeys at Turtle Beach. - play golf at Royal St Kitts Golf course - visit the casino at the Marriott - take a walk around town and visit some places of interest such as the National Museum housed in the Old Treasury building, St Georges Anglican Church, the Catholic Co-Cathedral, Independence Square, the Berkley Memorial Hope the above helps. When you return I'd like to hear your thoughts on your final choice. So please post a review on the relevant review page at http://www.discover-stkitts-nevis-beaches.com/caribbean-resort-review-st-kitts-nevis.html Amicia http://www.discover-stkitts-nevis-beaches.com

spaceguy Posted November 1, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2004 We were in St Kitts last week on the Golden Princess. We did an Island tour with Ilva Wallace. She was very nice and we enjoyed our tour. The Brimstone Hill Fort was great, and great photos opportunities.
Cruz'n Queen Posted November 3, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2004 Can you get to the beaches on your own? There will be 9 of us and we would like to just go to a beach and relax. Does the Marriott offer day packages? We will be going in Jan on the Golden Princess. Thanks any info would be appreciated.
sharons Posted November 4, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2004 We did the taxi tour with "spaceguy" last week with Ilwa Wallace. She was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, very punctual, and more than happy to do anything we wanted to do. Be aware that her fee does not include admission to Brimstone Fortress which is $8 per person. She can be reached at ilvawallace_4@hotmail. Spaceguy-- Great meeting you and Lynn. Ilva ---Thanks for a lovely day. Sharon
Coolmama_1 Posted November 5, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 5, 2004 We did the Sugar Train back in July. The scenery was beautiful and you really got to see how much of the island lives. It was different from anything else that we did and we enjoyed the trip. Have fun in St Kitts. .
J and H Posted November 17, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 17, 2004 We also did a tour with Ilva Wallace back in Feb. She is a great lady and we highly recommend her services....you should contact her....her rates are reasonable (compared to the tours offered by the cruise lines) and she knows the island inside and out....if you need any further info, feel free to email me at JLHC99@SBCGLOBAL.NET. colada Posted December 24, 2004 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2004 St. Kitts is a beautiful and friendly island. We got off the boat at about 12:00 pm and learned about the "full island" tour from the tourist info booth. The cost per person was $16.50 plus $8 admittance to Brimstone Hill Fortress. We stopped at the Caribelle Batik studio, Brimstone Hill Fortress and the volcanic rock coastline. It took about 3 1/2 hours.

sea_breaze Posted December 30, 2004 #12 Share Posted December 30, 2004 One man's opinion. Think you got lucky with this schedule change. ST Maartin can be very busy with cruise ships and island has a mountanous desert feel. St Kitts has just as nice beaches as well as a rain forrest and is not as busy typically
ldoc31 Posted December 31, 2004 #13 Share Posted December 31, 2004 Another opinion--I really liked St. Maartin. We did an island tour on St. Kitts. The fort was quite impressive and not to be missed.
