It must've been a mistake. On freedom we got free soda only b/c of our stickers in the MDR. Our tablemates ordered soda a couple nights and paid for it. True, sometimes, a waiter will bring you something and not charge you, but don't count on it! It's not "policy" to not charge for sodas, unless you've bought the soda card--- if you only drink a soda once in a while, then buying by the can is the way to go.
