Table in the diningroom

We are off again, famely of 4. Wold it be easy to get a table for ONLY the 4 of us, or do they shuffle us around with other pax ?

 

Since kids are 7 and 10 we have askd for main seating, but observe that it is waitlisted in the reservation strange, the cruise is in April

You can specify that you want a table for four. If you booked through a travel agent, contact them, if directly with RCL, go to the web site and send them an e-mail.

 

Even with this, there is a chance that you will not get what you want. When on-board, go to the head-waiters desk outside the restaurant before 3:00 p.m. and he will check or change your table for you. They can usually accommodate requests. Tables for four are plentiful - tables for two are much more difficult.

there are lots of tables for 4 in the mdr, i don't see why this request would not be easily granted.

You may be runnning into Spring Break, which means lots of families and thus that is why Main seating is waitlisted.

If you have no success prior to sailing, head for the Dr when you board and see if any accommodation can be made...it could be difficult.

Email the dining room website about one week prior to departure. They will only respond one week prior. They can tell you what table # u will be assigned and also the size of table. In the meantime, I would request a table for four; u can request directly with RCI or thru your travel agent, if u used a travel agent. If u booked online and have a RCI reservation then contact RCI directly. Good Luck.

The other side of the coin is that if you're seated with another family, your kids might find some built-in friends for the week. Royal Caribbean frequently seats similar-sized families together, and I've always found the dining room an ideal place for getting to know new friends! There's no "shuffling around," though-- you would sit at the same table, with the same tablemates, for the whole week. After the first night, if you decide your tablemates aren't your cup of tea, you could speak to the maitre d' and ask to be moved to another table.
