Liner Posted April 16, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2004 HELP! We are going on the Rhapsody out of Galveston in June. Does the ship stay in the same time while we are gone? I'm booking a trip in Grand Caymen with Captain Marvin's. Grand Caymen is the same time as Galveston in the summer. I just want to make sure we'll make our excursion! Thanks for your help!! GramaFran Posted April 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2004 We were on Rhapsody in Jan and they stayed on Galveston time the whole cruise. They kept reminding us that check our own watches not the clocks on shore. It was kind of confusing, but was ok. I do not know about time zone for GC but if it is different then you would need to figure out the difference between Galveston time and GC time. As arrival times are posted in Galveston time. RaiderSparks Posted April 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2004 Here is the scoop, I had the same question last year. Rhapsody time is Central time (or Central daylight savings time). Key West is obviously Eastern Time. Grand Cayman is also Eastern time; however they do not practice daylight savings time, so they will be on the same time as the Rhapsody. Finally COZ is central time as well. Go see the Aquarium in Key West. $9 per person. Best bang for your buck on the whole cruise.
