carriage ride in San Juan

I personally have not done the carriage ride, but it looks nice and is not crazy expensive.

But other options: There is a free trolley system that runs around OSJ.

You can take it (or a taxi) up to the National Gallery or the Museum of the Americas. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/old-san-juan-museums/

Or there is the ferries- you can take the Hato Rey one and the Catano one- cheap water rides, to see other sites. Not great, but something to do with very little physical effort. It can also get you cheaply to Bacardi Rum Factory tour.

Just a block up from the cruise ship dock are some great restaurants. Don Q Rum museum is right there with free samples, and the Casita Info Center also is open until 5pm (with free rum drinks).
