Fantasy_Bride Posted October 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Has anyone seen 'the forum' on Fantasy since the upgrades? I will be getting married in that room on 11/20/08.
jetskier Posted October 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Has anyone seen 'the forum' on Fantasy since the upgrades? I will be getting married in that room on 11/20/08. It is still going to be the same small room as always. They did not move Camp Carnival as scheduled which would have enlarged the Forum across the width of the ship. Not sure if the color scheme has changed. Maybe LHP or Rowan can tell you. Dave
LHP Posted October 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2008 I just spent 4 days in The Forum...because that is where they have karaoke. woo hoo We cruised the Fantasy many times last year and I have to say I did not see a big difference. It looked nice, but you have to understand that I really do not pay attention to things like decor. All I look for is a chair to sit ....I don't pay attention to the material or color. It has a nice size dance floor. Stage is still to the side (I think they were suppose to change it to the back like on the Imagination, but they did not) All I cared about was the equipment worked well and Kim (karaoke host) ROCKED!!!! Rowan555 Posted October 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2008 As far as I could tell, nothing was changed in the Forum Lounge. If I was getting married on the Fantasy, it would be in the Cat's Lounge. But that's just me...... ;)
LHP Posted October 16, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2008 I was just sitting here trying to think of the :decor:.... I think the chairs are the Carnival tan/orange (not bright...or ugly...a cross between colorful and neutral as weird as that sounds) ... I would imagine they set it up with an aisle in the middle going towards the stage. There is plenty of room for the Bride to walk "up the aisle" with guests on either side. There is a stage so that the official and bridal party can be elevated if they want to be. There is plenty of seating. Wedding party members do not have to sail....they will be checked on with day passes and then escorted off before the ship sails. Wedding parties are the FIRST people on the ship...and wedding party members who are sailing can go immediately to their cabins to change if they don't want to come to the port dressed. The reception is usually done in the disco or the Cat's lounge. (usually the disco if there is only one wedding that day so that you have more room) All of this is just from what we have witnessed over the years. There is usually at least one wedding on every cruise we have been on. Congrats on your marriage and have a wonderful wedding!! If I were going to be there, I would sing to you for free!!! :D
