22cruisethebluemarble Posted October 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2008 Was wondering how Cruise Credits are determined? We are taking our 1st!!! cruise (8 day) and were wondering if the credits are amassed by number of days, just the cruise, or some other factor. truffles2 Posted October 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2008 One credit for a cruise (any length), one extra credit for staying in a Jr. Suite and above, and one extra credit for longer cruises (12 days? or more--can't remember for sure). No more than 3 credits may be accumulated on any one cruise.
22cruisethebluemarble Posted October 19, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted October 19, 2008 Thank You, guess we should book little cruises to move up faster:D
shaggyofwv Posted October 19, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2008 I think it should be based upon days at sea.. A lot of people have reached diamond status quickly just by booking suites on short cruises.
gracecarmo Posted October 19, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2008 I wonder how far back their records go? Our very first cruise was on Song of Norway in 1979, then again in 1988, 93 and 97. RCCL says they only have me down for the 88 and 93 cruises. I have all the dates of these cruises, and infact my brother, traveling with us, was photographed in the excrcise room and used in RCCL's brochure during our first cruise in 79. Now....if these credits are applied we would be Diamond Plus...no big deal, but I like things to be right!!!:D We are considering switching from X to RCI for a few cruises, just to experience the perks, and also a new itinerary/ship/ etc.
wrp96 Posted October 20, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2008 If you have proof of those earlier cruises (pictures showing the ship name and sailing date for example) they should give you credit for those earlier cruises.
