fjords in july 2009

Went in august six or seven years ago and found the weather to be similar to English (or Manx) summers. We didn't get sun burnt and from early evening we needed woolley pulleys. But we did sit on deck sailing through the calm waters of the fjords sipping champagne.

Prepare for a week in Norfolk and you won't go far wrong. Children love going blue in the pool!! It strengthens their characters. That's what my Dad told me anyway.

Enjoy the boat and the beauty.

Hi, we did the Fjords trip this July and had mixed weather. On the journey through the North Sea we had rain and gales! So much so that the Captain's Welcome Party was postponed until the next night. Our first stop in Bergen was dry (apparently this is amazing for Bergen) but we only had a few glimpses of the sun. Our second stop in Gerainger was overcast but dry. However, the rest of the trip the sun shone and it was hot. So you never know. We took fleeces and wore them early in the morning sat on the balcony sailing up the fjord to Gerainger. A day later we were putting on sun lotion!

Take something warm and something for the rain as well as summer gear and then you'll be well prepared.

Annie
