Always Rough in November?

Hi. I'm sailing the transatlantic in mid-November this time. I realize chances are the seas will be rough. However, has anyone ever had a smooth sailing at this time of year, or is the Atlantic always rough in November?

Can I hope beyond hope for a relatively smooth ride, or just brace myself for the worst?

Also, my dog will be on 12 deck, and I'm wondering how difficult it will be to walk around up there at this time of year.

Thanks.

It's really the luck of the draw, weatherwise. Sometimes it can be really rough in November, sometimes, as others have said, like glass. Also these days the ship takes a slightly more southerly route, and has a bit of time in hand to go round bad weather if possible. Last time I sailed was this time of year, and it was flat calm, balcony weather the whole way across. Good luck!
