countryflower Posted October 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2008 I received today the documents for my cruise and the paper said that the boarding time is not earlier than 2:00 PM. The cruise is Freedom of the Seas. I think I read somewere that we can get into the ship at 11:00 or 12:00. Is this true?
loudbmw Posted October 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2008 Show up around 11:00 am, you will be having lunch in the Windjammer by noon unless customs delays things. RCCL is just trying to spread out the arrivals. Lou

We generally arrive around 10:30 and are usually eating lunch in the Windjammer by 11:30 or so....:)
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted October 28, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2008 As above. If everyone arrived at the same time it would be chaos!! Boarding 11 ish and having a leisurely lunch, checking out reservations for Chops and/or Portofino's, gentle stroll around the promenade - before you know it it'll be 1pm and they'll open the rooms! nanfromatlanta Posted October 28, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2008 We usually arrive at the terminal between 10:30 and 11:00 AM.
wrp96 Posted October 28, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2008 They tell you 2pm in case as a CYA in case there are boarding delays (not common). That way if things don't start exactly at 11:30am, they don't have 3,000+ people standing around complaining "But you said we would be onboard by noon."
