Airport Holiday Inn FLL info

Anyone have any info about the Airport HI @ FLL? We are arriving late(9:00) the night before our cruise and want a short trip to a room. Is there any good places to eat around the HI or airport that stay open late?

You can also stay close to the port (SE17th ST) and it is only a short taxi ride from FLL and a short taxi or hotel shuttle to the port from there.

Stayed there back in 2005 and was not that great... I read where it has been remodeled since then so hopefully it will be better...:confused:

 

 

There is a Denny's across the street. This was all I saw in the area of the hotel. The breakfast bar the next morning in the hotel was good though.
