Alaska cruises from Seattle

During summer 2008, and again next year, NCL operates two ships from Seattle to Alaska, the Pearl and the Star (with slightly different itineraries).

I am booking the Pearl to Alaska in '09, and note that it returns to Seattle at 8:00 a.m. Can anyone who has taken the Pearl (or Star) to Alaska

recall approximately when the "express walk-off" disembarkation occurs at Seattle?

It is usually between 8:30 and 9, but you can't count 100% on that because you never know when customs will hold the ship up.

The ship tends to arrive a little earlier than stated and last June people were leaving a little after 8AM.

We cruised in early June and were actually at the airport by 9:30 using the express walk off. I would not count on being there quite that early but we will book an earlier flight next time.

We also went in June and the ship got in much earlier than planned. The first announcements were being made at 7:45.

 

But you can't really plan on this -- previous cruise, we had to wait to board as the ship got in so late they were still debarking at noon. :(

We were on the Pearl in August. Not sure why you want to figure how to get off. All we wanted to do was stay on.
