Best time of day for whale watch tour in Juneau?

I have tried to search for this information but was unable to find an answer. Does it matter whether I book a morning, lunch, early afternoon or late afternoon whale watching tour in Juneau? Does one time offer more or better sightings than another time? Thanks for all who share their experiences on this forum....it makes planning so much easier for us "Alaska newbies".

It really doesn't matter - the whales don't care what time of day it is. Although there is sometimes morning mist, I like that feeling and the crews are fresh for the day so for me it balances out.

You're in somewhat sheltered waters all the time at Juneau, but any water can get rough so if seasickness is an issue, take precautions.
