Itinerary with young children

Hi,

 

We are looking at the following itineraries on the Carnival Miracle for the end of March beginning of April 2009 with two young children (ages 6 and 4). What do you think would be the best?

 

8 day - St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Lucia

 

8 day - Costa Rica, Belize, Panama

Hi - I'm not a seasoned cruiser (will just be going on my first one later this month); however, my DH has been to the Eastern Caribbean places you mentioned and I understand they are great with young kids. Lots to do and of course the water and sand are perfect for young tender feet.

The panama canal won't really interest small children. I'd do the eastern route, as well.

Definitely the St. Maarten itinerary.
