Puffin tour from St.John or Halifax

We are considering a Canada/NE cruise in June when puffins will be colorful.

Can anyone recommend a tour offered by Royal Caribbean that fits the bill, so to speak?

 

I heard the whale watching tours show bird breeding islands as well, but i want to make sure my wife sees her puffins.

Hi - I LOVE Puffins too. I hope she gets to see them.

 

I heard there is a Pub in St. John's that has a wooden Puffin and you have to kiss it's "ars" before they will give you your first drink. Silly bit of Trivia there for you. The Newfies are a rare breed and loads of fun.

Are you talking about Saint John, New Brunswick or St. John's, Newfoundland?

St. John's is in Newfoundland. Saint John is in New Brunswick. And yes, they have to be spelled that way... they never abbreviate Saint John. Avoids the confusion, too.

Its St. John's, Newfoundland that does the puffin kissing thing (part of the Screech In "ceremony" at Trapper Johns Pub). If its St. John's there are lots of puffin tours out of Bay Bulls and they are spectacular. I can't speak on Saint John or Halifax.
