NYC Cruise Terminal

Going on the Dawn next August out of New York. How is parking at the terminal? Is it safe, and how much does it cost? Any chance of parking being "filled" and us getting stuck in Manhattan with no place to park? :mad:

Right now the cost is $30.00 per day ($210 for 7 days). We just parked there 5-12 Oct 08. It is safe. I've never heard of it being too full to park there but that I really can't answer.

We've cruised out of the city several times and never had a problem with finding a parking spot or safety. The going rate now a days is $30/day. Enjoy your cruise!:)

Never had a problem. Plenty of spaces. Guarded by attendants & protected by dogs as well. No reservations.

 

55th Street & 12th Avenue-go up viaduct ramp

 

Drop off passengers and luggage first, tip porter about $5 for two of you, then driver proceeds up ramp. Have MC, Visa, or cash ready to prepay. Tax is already included. Pay $30 per night, or 10-30 nights are $300. Park on the roof. Cashier will tell you where to park. We usually aim to be there at 11 A.M.-11:30 A.M.

 

Take elevator, or steps, or escalator down to level below the roof. Meet rest of your party at the Snack Bar.

 

After cruise, ask porter to wheel your luggage up to the car. Stay with him/her in the elevator. They'll even put the luggage into the car. Tip appropriately. We usually give about $20.
