we are going on the Carnival Valor in January. My buddy and I plan on diving in all four ports (GC, Roatan, Belieze and Cosumel). Our wives do not dive but would like to join us on at least one of the excursions and snorkel. Any suggestions?

Can't help with the other two, but Eagle Ray at Coz takes a mixed boat.

Be sure to book the full, not half, day.

They provide separate guides and are flexible on locations. They usually go to Palancar and Columbia.

Both are great. Last time the divers asked to go on to Punta Sur. It's even better! :)

Both snorkeling and diving at Roatan are world class.

Shore entry is excellent for both.

If you want a boat trip contact Anthony's Key Resort.

I don't know if they mix, but it's worth asking.

That's all good advice. Punta Sur? Wow, that is advanced.

I'd suggest doing some shore diving in Grand Cayman. Since you have a buddy, you'd only need to rent tanks/weights. I'd go to http://www.sunsethouse.com but you could also go to Eden Rock. It is closer to where the tenders dock in Georgetown so you could easily walk there. There are 2 nearby dive shops, http://www.edenrockdive.com/ and http://abanksdivers.com.ky/

If you really prefer a boat dive/snorkel trip, try http://www.neptunesdivers.com I'm pretty sure Casey does combo trips.

Sorry I can't offer an opinion about Belize.

yes, you can shore dive at Sunset and spousal units can either snorkel right over you or hang at 'My Bar' and pre-libate while waiting for you.

Been there - done that - got the t-shirt and wore it 'till there were so many holes the spousal unit tossed it....time to go again I guess.
