Cruzinnana47 Posted November 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2008 Just booked a Dolphin mini (forward - port) on the Emerald for our next cruise in Oct., 2009. This is our first mini-suite, previously have had balcony staterooms with covered balconies. Can anyone tell us if this is a partially covered/uncovered balcony? Don't mind if it's 1/2 and 1/2, but don't want to be completely uncovered. TIA -- any input will be appreciated!
Shifra Posted November 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2008 Sorry for the news but all dolphin minis have balconies completely uncovered. Since you have lots of time before your cruise you might consider a mini on emerald deck which would be covered. There aren't many minis on emerald so you may want to change soon. A lot of people really enjoy the dolphin minis and open balconies. :)
Cruzinnana47 Posted November 14, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted November 14, 2008 Shifra, thanks for your response. Will be making a decision ASAP. May want to rethink our location--thanks again!
ladypalmtree Posted November 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2008 We loved our uncovered balcony ..three times on Princess..Not a problem..this time a vs suite on Sapphire and I think it may be covered since it it the last cabin aft..LPT:cool:
Cruzinnana47 Posted November 21, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted November 21, 2008 Since it's been confirmed that Dolphin deck minis all have UNCOVERED balconies, we've switched to a mini-suite on Emerald deck. There aren't many of them, but did get one on the starboard-aft section. Now we're both happy, DH has a cover over the balcony and I get more room inside with the mini-suite! Thanks for your replies.
