Hotel Intercontinental Miami

Recommended Posts

Have booked two nights pre-cruise in Miami at the Intercontinental in December. Was wondering if anyone had comments on this hotel that has stayed there? How was the view of the port? I know that it is next door to Bayside which will be great for the location. I have stayed at other hotels in the area but picked this over the Marriott which I have stayed many times.

Thanks!

Gordon

I stayed there and it was nice. You are right that it is within walking distance of Bayside, which is good. When we stayed there, we had the cheapest room booked and did not have a view of the ships. You may have to request or book a specific room.

Lovely hotel with great pool and workout area. I would pay attention to their extra charges...

like phone. I would recommend going to Bayside Marketplace for breakfast.

My family and I stayed there for 1 night pre our April 3rd trip on Navigator.

It's a great hotel - ideally located right beside Bayside.

And what a view in the morning - my 6 year old woke us all up at 5.30am on the Saturday to show us the ship slowly pulling into port. We watched the sun rise as Navigator and Explorer docked - very memorable (even if we didn't get back to sleep!)

We had a fabulous breakfast buffet - it was pricey, but it was a great start to the holiday!

I have stayed there twice. GREAT hotel with huge marble bathrooms and separate dressing rooms. Both times I reserved room through a discount agency and both times I got a cruiseport view, simply by calling the hotel directly and asking for one. Breakfast buffet in the dining room is a tad pricey. Nice poolside restaurant overlooking the bay. icon_smile.gif
