Pre-arrange taxi for day? Fort and Beach

Do you all pre-arrange a taxi for the day when all you want is to go to the Fort and then to a beach? We don't want a tour of the whole island. We only want to go to the fort first then taxi to Cockelshell for the rest of our time in port.

 

If you don't pre-arrange a taxi, do you hire a taxi at the pier to take you around the whole day? We wouldn't want to get abandoned at the beach without a taxi to take us back to the ship.

 

If you do pre-arrange a taxi, not a full tour operator, who do you recommend?
