Hotels in Athens

Recommended Posts

We stayed at the Parthenon Hotel. It is ideally located for the Antiquities Promenade and the Acropolis, right next to the Metro, and in the Plaka with wonderful restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the Philippos Hotel (philipposhotel.gr) in October and it was wonderful. It's right near the Acropolis - had a great view from our balcony. We walked to the Acropolis and the Plaka easily. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was huge. Our cruise was not leaving until evening, but we checked out and they held our bags so we could explore. My only regret is that we only stayed one night!
