robo1234 Posted November 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2008 I'm interested in one of the Mexican Riviera cruises departing San Diego. One of the ports puts you in place to take a 2 day one night tour of Copper Canyon. Has anyone done this? How comprehensive is it and what does it cost? Thanks! Ine Posted November 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2008 I wonder what ship this is. Till now I have only seen the 1-day tour to Copper Canyon. Leavigd around 4 am and return on 11. pm.on the same day. We didnot do it, but on board we had mixed reports from those who did. Some liked it, others found it far too much travel for that short stay.
Loreto Posted November 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2008 We took the 1 day 18 hr. Copper Canyon tour on the Ryndam several years ago. We were in our late 50's at the time and found it to be breathtaking and exciting. You take the trip for the train ride, the actual final destination "canyon" paled compared to the U.S. Grand Canyon. Sit on the right side of the train for the best view!:) On our Veendam cruise earlier this month Captain Albert said they have plans to have the Oosterdam sail to more ports in the Sea of Cortez. That might allow for an overnight at Topolobampo. Enjoy planning! Karen
