Cinema theatre aboard Pearl

Hi Guys..I know that the Star has a movie theatre on it..Does the Pearl also have one..Just curious..and do the movie theatre play movies all day long??

No movie theater on the Pearl.

On our Pearl Repo they did use the main theater for movies once in a while. It wasn't every day, though, and they were using the feed from one of their TV channels, so you could watch it in your room, if you wanted.

We went to see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" in the theater on the Pearl a couple of weeks ago! Great way to finally get to see a movie for a change (never time at home it seems).

AFAIK, no cruise ship shows new releases, new as in currently in local theaters. Most of the time, the newer movies will be 3-6 months old, often just released on DVD.

I didn't know that. I'm impressed. Are the new releases only Disney movies or any studio?

I'm pretty certain it's Disney movies. I think that's because they own copyright or whatever. We saw 'Herbie' onboard and Narnia(??) I think...Herbie definately. Either way they were either not released yet, or still in the theaters. :)
