Viking Grand European Budapest to Amsterdam

We are traveling May 31 on Viking for the first time and would appreciate knowing what to expect onboard and enroute. Also looking for suggestions on pre and post excursions.

Thinking of extra couple of days in Budapest or Prague on front end and perhaps Bruges, Ghent, Luxembourg, or Netherlands on back end?

Greatly appreciate any suggestions!!:)

We will take the 3 day pre cruise to Prague leaving 27 July 2014. This is our first on Viking . I was surprised that they are quoting gratuities at 24 EUROS a day and not dollars. They are breaking the bank for me. Anyone else going on our cruise. We a flying out of EWR on July 27.
