Which PR Rainforest excursion?

Hi! We are sailing 2/1 on the Celebrity solstice. We know that we want to see the rainforest in PR, but are unsure which tour to choose. One of them is a Nature Walk adventure and one of them seems to be a bus tour. Has anyone done either tour and which do they recommend? We are in our 30's and have no problems with the walking but think it might be better to do the car tour to see more. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Absolutely do the walking one. You hike down to La Mina falls, where you can go in and swim etc. Very pretty trails- I don't know which one they use- either La Mina trail or Big Tree trail.

They may also stop at the sites the other one hits- La Coca falls is along the road, the look out tower is also a quick stop.....

Seriously, the other one (in my opinion) is for older people who can't walk much and just want to see it.

If you are not opposed to driving, your best way to see El Yunque is by car. Rent a car for about $40. Then you can go to any and all the sites there. I like Juan Diego Falls as much as La Mina and it is almost empty (La mina has all the tour groups, so it can get crowded!).

It is a decently easy drive there/back, but it is about 1 hr away.

For the drive time, make it worth your while and see what you want to see, then stop for a local meal and/or a beach, go Pinones on the way back...
