Florence, Italy hotel

Can anyone recommend a nice--not overly expensive--hotel in Florence within walking distance of the major sights--Duomo, Uffizi, etc. The only time I've visited Florence was with a pre-cruise tour and that hotel is not available. I would appreciate any help.

We particularly enjoyed the Hotel Silla, very walkable, quiet area, nice helpful staff.

We stayed at Best Western Hotel Laurus. Would definitely stay there again.

 

Great location; walk to train station and major sites.

 

Our room was clean and modern.

 

Breakfast was served in a nice little rooftop dining room and outdoor patio that has a view of the Duomo.

 

We paid 136 Euros a night.
