Eating in Morocco and Casablanca

In Cairo we had to be careful what we ate - no ice, only hot cooked food, not fruit, unless you peeled it, and be careful of vegetables, etc.

Does the same apply for Morocco. The tour takes us to a hotel for lunch.

Yes! When we were in Morocco, we were extremely careful and followed the basic rules. We were lucky and had no problems. However, on one day about half our bus came down with the traveler's bane, including the doctor who was in our group and who was super careful. Comparing notes, they realized they all had the lentil soup at lunch, and it was thin and not very hot. The suspicion was that the chef had "stretched" the hot soup by pouring cold water in it!

Have a GREAT cruise!

I usually apply that rule in most of the middle east countries I visit, however I speant 10 days in Morrocco this year and am pleased to say that I relaxed my rule and had amazing icecream and yoghurt drinks in Marrakesh.......

I literally starved myself for the first few days because of the hygene question but I am really glad I ventured "into the unknown", I guess its down to the luck of the draw.
